PONGAL VIZHA CELEBERATION - 22ND JANUARY 2023

Keeping with the tradition of our Sangam this year too we celebrated Pongal Vizha in a grand manner. The preparations started one and half months in advance and our President Dr. L Sathiyanarayanan took the initiative to get the members and member’s children to participate in the event. The event was held In Mhathma Phule Sanskruti Bhavan, Wanori.

As an icing on the cake our committee member Pandithurai gave a demo of our traditional martial art “Sillambu Attam.” Not only that, he also brought two children who are not Tamils but learning Sillambu Attam in Pune; to exhibit their skills in Sillambu Attam

The event was filled with a variety of performances like Bharthanattiyam, Songs, Violin solo, film music dance etc. The event ended with the ladies giving an impromptu Kummi Attam As usual after the program we had sumptuous traditional lunch.
