Pune City Tamil Sangam Celeberated the Tamil New Year in a unique way this year. It was also a day on which Pune City Tamil Sangam was registered. To show case the Tamil Entrepreneurs in Pune in particular and Tamils in general we held Parambaria Sandhai –Tamil Cultural Exhibition at the Institution of Engineers (India), Pune. This maiden attempt was a huge success to us. There were more than 1000 visitors who visited the cultural fair and the stalls included Aaachi Masala, Co-Optex , Ramraj Cotton, Malabar Gold, V Care Herbal products, Plyzone etc. Besides these there were women entrepreneurs who were displaying their, products like, imitation jewellery, Chettinad sarees, breakfast cereals, Bakery products, paintings and many more. Pune based stores and agencies like Iyer Coffee Agency, Iyer Grinder, Taste of Trichy, PlyZone interiors, financial consultants like Vijya financial.
The fair was peppered with a cultural event were the local Tamil dancers and Singers gave a splendid and a spectacular performance. The audience were spell bound for two hours. The theme of the event was folk dance, folk music and traditional dances of Tamil Nadu. The chief guest for the evening was Mr. G Jayakumar, a Tamil, Registrar of Bhartiya Vidya Peeth Deemed University, Pune.
There were food stalls were south Indian and Chat items were served. Not to forget the good filter coffee that was available.
