MANAIVI AMAIVATHELLAM - DRAMA

On 22nd February Pune City Tamil Sangam, Staged a the play “MANAIVI AMAIVADELAM…..” at Nehru Memorial Hall, Pune. This drama was a creation of Bombay Cultural Association, Mulund. The play is based on a traditional mother in law looking for a bride for her only son. The husband a retired bank officer spends his morning with a newspaper and relaxed life. The son, who belongs to current times, loves a girl who is bold, independent and loving. But the boy is timid and afraid of telling his mother; who is looking for an ideal bride who will be obedient, pious and a homemaker. And what happens thereafter is the story of the play which has a happy ending with a message to remember. The play is spiced with a good amount of humour and comedy by the presence of a marriage broker.

The members attended the drama in a sizable numbers despite the fact the previous day was Sivra Rahiri and A R Rehaman show in the evening the same day. The audience thoroughly enjoyed the play with bursts of laughter.

This is the last event for the year 2019-20 which ended with note of optimism looking forward to a new year loaded with good and entertaining programs and events.
